This is a timeline of the greatest band in the world:

• 1960: Future guitar god Kyle Gass is born in Walnut Creek, CA
• 1969: Future energetic frontman Jack Black is born in Santa Monica, CA
• 1994: Living guitar god Kyle Gass meets energetic frontman Jack Black and teaches him the ways of the guitar!
• 1997: As the legend of "The D" spreads, the duo opens for acts like Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Beck!
• 2001: Tenacious D releases their self-titled album. While their music video for "Tribute" was only voted 5th best of all time, it did inspire THIS tribute to the greatest band of all time.
• 2006: Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny is released in theaters worldwide.
• 2022: Tenacious D continues to delight fans, earning new tribute pages every day.
